Our Predictions for Christmas 2025
As time-travelling marketers, we exist far in the future. In this context, we think about Christmas in the summer.
So yes. In early July, Luma Towers was transformed into a Christmas wonderland – with lights and tinsel, mince pies and music – to get us in the mood and fire up those creative juices.
We always do our research and take a scientific approach to our marketing outputs and Christmas is no different. We look at the anticipated trends for the year and plan ours and our client campaigns accordingly. Think old Kris Kringle and Rudolph sat around a festive spreadsheet and you’re about on the money.
With silly season on the horizon, we wanted to be proactive and give you the low down on all the themes set to dominate Christmas 2025. Whether you’re a certified festive fanatic or a Christmas cynic, these are important things to be aware of, especially if you’re planning a festive event or styling a seasonal campaign.
Let’s get stuck in.
Golden Age Hollywood
Think black, white and gold. Audrey Hepburn, Bette Davis, Jimmy Stewart. This theme is all about vintage elegance, art deco glamour and movie magic. Picture ornate table settings, nostalgic touches, and a party that feels like it stepped straight out of a 1940s film set.
And some classy table manners, too. Only the best will do.
Future Cool
The Golden Age isn’t for you? All the more reason to step boldly into the future.
In contrast to the glamour and opulence of the golden age, this is about clean minimalism tinged with icy modernity. This on-trend look is sleek and glowing: white-on-white with LED lights, futuristic trees and sculptural centrepieces. It’s perfect for anyone who wants their Christmas to feel fresh, clean and just a little bit space-age.
Nutcracker
If you prefer a more traditional feel, this one’s for you. Bright candy colours, wooden toys, gingerbread and tinsel: this is Christmas with a capital C. It’s playful, nostalgic and full of whimsy. Think pastel baubles, wooden trains and sugarplum dreams. A classic that never goes out of style.
Classy sustainability
Eco-elegance is here to stay. This theme blends soft greens, champagne tones and warm neutrals with recycled luxe and soft lighting. It’s all about conscious choices that still feel indulgent—greenery, natural textures and a gentle glow.
All recycled and recyclable, of course. From the tree topper to the gifts and the paper they’re wrapped.
Giving Back
Most importantly, the end of the year is when we take a little time to reflect on how far we’ve come and how very lucky we are. It’s a great time to remember those who are less fortunate and to demonstrate you’re brand values with a festive campaign. This can be in the form of fundraising, volunteering, or even a donation — just something that keeps the Christmas spirit alive.
In Manchester, we always recommend doing something for the children.
With 31% of UK children living in poverty, the North West is in the UK’s top three, with 48% of its children below the bread line. Yep. That’s a shocking statistic indeed.
There are some great options for you to build a Christmas campaign around. Whether that’s the Bruntwood wishing tree or the Wood Street Mission. Manchester is home to some of the UK’s most deprived communities, and your contributions will go a long way toward making positive memories for children across the area.
We also think that Gaza will be top of the wish lists this year, with famine now in play. Put aside the politics and put some cash in the pot for the Red Cross (other charities are also available).
